This entire Tote has been hand painted by one of our Graffiti Artists from New York City. This particular artist has tagged trains since the late 1970s, painted murals in many urban neighborhoods and is still well sought after. BIJOUX Fashions has commissioned him to paint 10 collectibles for us.
The front of this tote displays a scene that was common place for New York City starting in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The movement Graffiti, was a form of self-expression for young people in the Bronx and Brooklyn who tagged subway trains. The subway system's many tunnels made it an ideal canvas for the budding artists. Graffiti is now an artistic movement that has evolved and become a global phenomenon. On the back of this tote is a scene that is also painted by our Graffiti artist in such a way it duplicates the style of the artist Vincent Van Gogh. Vincent's painting "The Starry Night" is depicted with a silhouette of the Eiffel Tower which is the logo for BIJOUX Fashions.
This bag itself is fashioned with refined quilted Vegan leather and accented with gunmetal hardware and finished with our custom designed BIJOUX lock.
An inside open compartment, one inside zippered pocket and one inside divided slot completes the tote which can also be carried by the shoulder strap.
